Wildcats Hold On Against Proctor For The Win

The Wildcats traveled to Proctor on Saturday for a match with the Hornets. The game was fast and physical throughout. VA opened the scoring with well placed ball on the ground by Kevin S. fifteen minutes in to the game. Proctor’s defense stiffened and the game remained tied at half. Proctor challenged VA early in the second and created a few scoring chances close to goal. Flynn D. played a great game in net for the ‘cats. He had many well placed clearances and a few clutch saves as well. Zach extended VA’s lead midway through the second with an impressive volley goal that rocketed past the Proctor keeper into the top left corner of the net. With five minutes left Proctor scored on a redirect of a free kick. VA survived the remaining time and secured a 2-1 victory.
