Nominate Outstanding Alumni by October 21

The nomination period is open for the Florence R. Sabin Class of 1889 Distinguished Alumni Award and the Outstanding Young Alumni Award! Nominations for these awards will close on Monday, October 21 at 8 a.m. (ET). Learn more about both awards, eligibility, and how to submit nominations below.
About the Florence R. Sabin Class of 1889 Distinguished Alumni Award
Established in 1985 by the Vermont Academy Alumni Association, the Florence R. Sabin Class of 1889 Distinguished Alumni Award recognizes and honors Vermont Academy alumni who, through their diligence and efforts, have used the basic academic and life skills acquired at the Academy to achieve significant success in their professional careers or have made outstanding contributions in community involvement thereby bringing honor to themselves and to Vermont Academy.
 
Eligible candidates must have attended Vermont Academy for a minimum of one academic year and must have graduated from Vermont Academy. Both living and deceased alumni may be considered for recognition. Alumni who are active members of the Academy's Board of Trustees or Alumni Council are not eligible. About the Outstanding Young Alumni Award
Established in 2023 by the Vermont Academy Alumni Association, the Vermont Academy Outstanding Young Alumni Award annually honors one alum who has graduated within the past 20 years. This person has made significant contributions to Vermont Academy, in their community, or in their professional field. 
 
Eligible candidates must have attended Vermont Academy for a minimum of one academic year and must have graduated from Vermont Academy. Both living and deceased alumni may be considered for recognition. Alumni who are active members of the Academy's Board of Trustees or Alumni Council are not eligible.
