The VA Wildcats traveled to Proctor Academy in hopes of securing their fourth consecutive win. However, VA did not start the game with the same intensity, communication, and connectivity they had shown in their three recent home games. Quick, forced shots on offense produced mixed results, while prolonged defensive possessions eventually led to breakdowns and buckets for the Hornets. VA found some success pushing the ball in transition but trailed 24-29 at halftime. Although they effectively pushed the ball to build a second-half lead, empty possessions in their half-court offense and multiple second-chance scoring opportunities for Proctor resulted in a 47-44 loss.
