The Wildcats hosted the Penguins of Cushing in the second game of a back-to-back weekend and came away with a win in their most well-rounded effort of the season so far. VA continued their trend of getting out to a hot start. Cushing ran a pick-heavy offense that got them great inside penetration to close the half within striking distance. VA maintained a lead throughout the second half by effectively breaking the Penguin full court pressure with long on-target passes. VA held off a late flurry, making enough free throws to clinch their third win in a row, 63-58.
