Maxwell Biondi ’24 Commits to Clark University for Lacrosse
Congratulations to talented Vermont Academy lacrosse player Maxwell Biondi ’24, for signing his National Letter of Intent to play Division III Men’s Lacrosse at Clark University (MA) next fall. During his time at VA, Max has made a significant impression as a valued athlete and student.
This spring will mark Max’s third season playing lacrosse at VA. Last season, Max received the Coaches’ Award, which Max credits as a valuable piece in the puzzle of his signing achievement.
“Having that Coaches’ Award given to me boosted my confidence and drive to continue to keep working because that was a statement that my hard work and teamwork were being recognized,” says Max. “It meant a lot to me to play here because it was a stepping stone to play college lacrosse. The program at VA is what shaped me into the player I am today.”
Max says what initially attracted him to the Clark University lacrosse team was the family-like feel, similar to what he is experiencing at VA. He looks forward to meeting all of his new teammates and being under Coach Jeff Cohen’s leadership.
Max is also looking to continue another passion of his at Clark: computer science. He reflects on VA’s academic influence in helping him reach this achievement as well. “The academics prepared me for the difficulty of what college will be like along with time management and being able to balance your student-athlete lifestyle,” he says. “Being more than just a number in the books for a total student body is what VA offers and that's what I have always loved. The teachers have been supportive of my dreams to play college lacrosse and helped me when academics got tough.”
On behalf of the Vermont Academy community, we congratulate Max on this achievement and look forward to seeing him grow even more as an athlete and student.
